According to the laws of fluid mechanics (mass conservation and momentum conservation), a mathematical model has been established to determine the convergent point of the filament yarn and the staple fiber. Using the speeds and the linear densities of, respectively, the filament yarn, the staple fiber and the composite yarn, the convergent point could be determined easily by the model. Tension of each component of the system could be controlled by adjusting the convergent point.
