The synthesis of acryloyloxy-o,o'-dihydroxyazo dyes and their chromium complexes is described by IR, UV-VIS, and 1 H-NMR spectroscopic techniques, magnetic susceptibility, thin-layer chromatography, and elemerttal analysis. The synthesized dyes and complexes are applied to wool and nylon fabric. Fastness to light, washing, and rubbing of the dyed fabrics is measured and discussed.
