A random walk technique, using appropriate statistical properties of adjacent points in along-fiber diameter profiles in conjunction with a constrained walk deviation, is devel oped for generating random along-fiber, wool snippet diameter profiles. The technique can be used in Monte Carlo simulations where the variation in diameter along fibers plays a significant role in properties of interest.
