The Ordinary of the Mass

Abstract

The Priest, having vested, approaches the Altar, and makes the customary reverence. He places the vessels upon the Altar, spreads the corporal and places the vessels thereon, and opens the Missal to the Introit of the Mass; then standing before the lowest Altar step, he signs himself with the sign of the Cross from forehead to breast, and says the Preparation.
