Abstract
The causal explanation of the origins of the Lebanese conflict is the obsession of numerous intellectuals of this country to the point that they end up eliminating from their preoccupations the social effects of the conflict itself and forgetting to analyse the perverse situations that it has brought about. Yet, it is certainly on the war considered as a social system profoundly shaping Lebanese society that one must focus all attention should one wish to reflect on the means by which it may be replaced by a reign of peace.
