Abstract
This article is based on the analysis of a corpus of articles published between 1960 and 1983, on events selected with the help of Leon Dion's typology for Quebec nationalisms, as put forward in his book «Nationalisme et politique au Québec». On this basis it concludes that the journal «Relations» published by a group of French-speaking Canadian jesuits, partakes of the catholic Church's loss of leadership in defining nationalist ideology and putting it into practice. The journal's function is rather that of a critical observer of a nationalism which is essentially conceived and realized elsewhere.
