Abstract
After having brought to light the identity crisis that is affec ting the Church, theology, socialist society and Marxism, the author tries to demonstrate how socialist societies when dismis sing religion are in fact reacting to the religious phenomenon. He then reflects on their three possible types of reponse: ideological secularism, political secularism, and consumer secularism.
