Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to describe the development of a methodology that will help analyze the results of simulation models in terms of multiple, non-normal responses. The methodology deals with the decision making process required to determine the setting of the decision variables included in the study of the system in order to satisfy several criteria re quirements. The degree of satisfaction of those requirements is measured with a characteristic called capability. The proposed methodology uses Process Capability Analysis theory and its MCpk index to generate, evaluate and select (G.E.S.) among the alternative possibilities of operating the given system in terms of the en tire output criteria distributions and not just their means. The methodology performs very well in the analysis of multiobjective, non-nor mal systems and always gives a very satisfying solution in terms of the multiple criteria.
