As an order release system for multi-stage production inventory systems, this paper deals with the Kanban system of Just-in- Time (JIT) production. This paper develops a queuing network model of the Kanban system with a simulation language for discrete-event simulation, SLAM II. Also, this paper aims to improve the Kanban system by modifying the flow of information. By means of discrete event simulation, the performances of the models are investigated and compared.
