A spreadsheet inventory management simulation model for a reorder cycle system with lost sales is developed. Three alternative implementations of the model are presented: a two dimensional model, a three dimensional model and a two dimensional model using the simulation add-in package @Risk. Tradeoffs of run time and memory requirements for the three implementations are discussed and extensions to the model implementations are presented.
