Abstract
A comprehensive project engineering and management system has been developed and used by Ontario Hydro for the acquisi tion of nuclear generating station training simulators. This system was instrumental in the successful completion, on schedule and within budget, of the Bruce A and Pickering B Training Simulators and is presently being implemented on two other simulator projects.
The developed engineering and management system includes some unique features such as a two-phased project, a project "core group" which actively monitors and controls the work, and joint buyer/vendor work procedures.
Application of the project management system throughout the full simulator project cycle is described.
