Abstract
Editorial note: The SCS Technical Committee on Simulators was authorized in January 1981 by action of the SCS Board of Directors. One of the committee's first major activities was to support the 1982 Summer Computer Simulation Conference by organizing sessions for the Training and Research Simulators Group. Much of the credit for a successful 1982 program presented by that group goes to group director William Wade and to the session organizers: Bruce Fairchild, Process Simulators; Jordan Chou, Power Plant Simulators; Mitchell Sisle, Missile Simulators; Max Carpenter, Maritime Simulators; Carmine Vaccarino, Flight Simula tors ; George Marr, Simulator Technology. Plans are underway to organize sessions for the Training and Research Simulators Group at the 1983 SCSC. Suggestions for additional topic areas are welcome.
