Abstract
Modern semiconductor technology has provided us with calculators and personal computers that can perform many complex tasks. Few professionals, however, can use these new devices effectively. The major stum bling block is the lack of ready access to methods for handling common problems. Our intentions here are: (1) to provide a forum for articles on simula tion-oriented software for calculators and personal computers, and (2) to establish standard documenta tion packages that make the software comprehensible and easy to use. We intend to deal with devices ranging from scientific pocket calculators to disk- based personal computers.
