This note is an update of a simulation model (initially described in Simulation Today no. 29 in the January 1975 issue of Simulation) of the interaction of national urban, agri cultural, and energy-use systems. New empirical evidence is provided to substantiate the interactions hypothesized by the authors. The results of simulations of the new version of the model are presented and the implications for public policy are explained.
