Two rules-of-thumb are presented for determining whether a change in time scale in the computer cir cuit is necessary. One rule is for the simulation of feedback systems by means of transfer functions, while the second applies to circuits solving differential equations. Each rule is illustrated by means of an example, and in the Appendix each rule is derived.
