An example is presented of the simulation of a hydraulic system involving transient fluid flow. Many approximate relationships are derived for the system, and the resulting equations are mechanized on an analog computer. Re sults are given which compare the simulation model to the actual system. The example clearly shows many of the advantages of simulation in problems of this type.
