Abstract
A passive network that will compensate for dielectric ab sorption in the feedback capacitor of analog integrators is developed and its limitations are given. A modified net work that relaxes some of the restrictions encountered in the first network is developed. Dielectric absorption in the compensating capacitors is shown to be negligible. It is suggested that the performance of the integrators of an existing analog computer can be improved by the addition of a passive input network. It is also suggested that com puting capacitors other than polystyrene would give good results when compensated for dielectric absorption by the technique developed. A bibliography is included to give an information source on other compensation techniques and on methods of determining the constants for the fixed-parameter capacitor model.
