Abstract
Generating a prescribed function of time is a fre quently occurring problem in simulations. This paper describes a method which approximates a given function by a series of Laguerre functions. This ap proximation can be found by means of a digital computer and then realized on an analog computer. A typical numerical example is given, and its analog computer setup is simulated on the digital computer by using the enlarged version of MIDAS (SIMULATION, October 1964).
