Abstract
Peter's impetuous plan to construct three tents and camp out on the Mount of Transfiguration no doubt becomes even more appealing when he, fellow disciples James and John, and Jesus encounter the turbulent situation waiting for them below. There will be no time to bask in the glow of Jesus' mountaintop glory; the reality of a feckless, “faithless generation” (Mark 9:19) hits fast and hard.
