Abstract
One cannot overlook three variables that will influence the new ecclesiology of the twenty-first century. First, the mega-church has come onto the scene and is a vibrant and growing reality of our day. Second, the denominational church, though decreasing in numbers, continues to play a significant role due to its relationship to church history. Third, people who have no church affiliation, however, are the fastest-growing group. We will discuss what these three variables can teach the church as it strives to continue to be a voice for Jesus' proclamation of the kingdom of God
