The Quick Test (QT) was given to 151 males and 125 females from the Coloured minority group in South Africa. The significantly positive correlations between QT and, respectively, the Ravens Progressive Matrices, the South African Vocabulary Scale, occupational rank, and level of schooling were taken as indicating that the QT is a fairly valid indicator of intelligence for this group.
