More and more people are applying for jobs as law enforcement officers due to the large salaries they make. In this study the author will examine the role of affirmative action in increasing the number of Hispanics on the police force of the city of Chicago and the Cook County Sheriff's Office. This study indicates that there has been slow but steady progress in the hire of Hispanic police.
