Abstract
The eminent pathologist gives an account of a case which was remarkable for its legal character, for the part played by scientific evidence and for the quality of the detective work. Professor Simpson remarks in a letter to the Editor, “it is about the best example I can recollect in over 30 years of sheer pertinacity on the part of investigating officers bringing a case to a successful conclusion”.
