A New Look at Recruit and Probationer Training

Abstract

Mr. Mahir, who retired from the Metropolitan Police in January of this year, was Assistant Commissioner “D”. Training was one of his responsibilities and during his period of office great advances in this field were made in his Force in respect of recruit, probationer and cadet training. Our readers will remember Mr. Mahir's key article “Managing People” in our August, 1966 issue.
