Abstract
Great credit is due to the Chief Constable of Bristol for saving and restoring to use a remarkable example of 18th century architecture, with the assistance of the Bristol Corporation and of Mr Albert H. Clarke, the city architect. Mr Frost's interest in the building goes back to 1954, when he took up his present appointment, and it must be immensely gratifying to him to see the results of his perseverance in the beautiful and functional conversion which he describes in the following article.
