High school junior Colin McGrath shares his views about homework with his younger brother, who is in 8th grade and preparing to begin high school. McGrath points out that a lot of homework doesn’t have much value for learning, and he urges his brother to be sure to take time to pursue activities he enjoys. Such activities, he explains, provide important opportunities for learning and growth that homework doesn’t always offer.
