Abstract

When visiting schools, author Michael Sonbert often observes school leaders using vague and inconsistent language to define their goals, manage staff, and provide feedback and direction to teachers. But there’s already far too much ambiguity and confusion in K-12 education, he argues. Leaders should take better care to choose their words and communicate clearly.
