Abstract
GLSEN’s biennial National School Climate Survey found that while schools remain hostile environments for LGBTQ students, incidents of harassment and assault have declined in recent years. New research points to the need for intellectually rich professional development opportunities for teachers. Study finds that sending text reminders over the summer months offers an effective and inexpensive way to help low-income students follow through on plans to go to college.
