Abstract
How a system allocates its resources is the most visible indication of its values. But district leaders can make a stronger case for greater resources by first doing a deep dive on how you’re using the resources already on hand. Doing that deep internal examination also prepares leaders for the political theater that surrounds budget season in every school district, the season when everyone pays attention to what’s happening in the schools.
