Abstract

The landmark Obergefell vs. Hodges decision to allow same-sex marriage has implications for schools, especially regarding schools as employers and providers of benefits and with how schools allow same-sex parents to apply their rights toward their children. The rule for how schools should treat LGBT students already has been decided and was not obviously affected by the decision.
