Abstract

A new report by a team of researchers from the Consortium for Policy Research in Education considers exactly how social media is making a difference in conversations about education policy. An examination of two iconic Disney films -- one an old and new -- shows that although children consume media differently in 2013 than they did in 1955, creativity and innovation are still at the core of children’s development today. High school graduation rates of black males has gained but it still trails that of white males.
