Abstract
OECD’s latest TALIS survey finds most teachers around the world enjoy their job despite feeling unsupported and unrecognized in schools and undervalued by society at large. Far fewer New York City teachers were granted tenure following changes in New York City’s tenure policy in 2009, says a new study. Another study finds that poor academic performance in middle school heavily disadvantages students who aspire to get a college degree.
