Analytic Scaling Procedure for Evaluating Instructional Improvement Proposals in Higher Education

Abstract

Rating procedures were replicated and extended to screen instructional improvement proposals based on four criteria: learning relevance, innovation, feasibility, and potential for continuation. A composite total score correlated .77 with project funding. Quantitative approach complements collegial decision making.
