Traditional seed-treating machines are mainly of the rotary atomizer, revolving drum or auger mixer types. Their weakest points have been in the standards of adhesion of powders and of distribution of liquids. The development of the ‘Rotostat’ seed treater, employing a batch process in which seed is accurately weighed into the machine, marks a notable advance in seed treatment technology.
