The aims of the Trials and Information Department of the INRA are to advise the Regional Agricultural Development Services on improvements to existing methods and on new methods of production, on the basis of surveys conducted on the Department's Trials Farms. A study relevant to the coastal marshland areas has been started near La Rochelle in Western France.
