The twentieth anniversary of the United Nations and of F.A.O. fell in 1965; and the second World Freedom-from-Hunger Week was held in October of that year. The goals of the Fertilizer Programme, under F.F.H.C., were described in “Outlook”, IV, 1, and it is opportune to record well-sustained advances in this generous and rewarding endeavour—large in scale, though small in relation to need—which provides hope that hunger, for many, can at least be held at bay.
