Abstract
Lamb dysentery, blackleg, enterotoxaemia, braxy, and a number of other acute and often fatal diseases of sheep are caused by clostridial organisms of various types. Infection is closely related to the status of the host, and as the rising incidence of some of these diseases is associated with modern methods of grass production and fattening lambs more use must be made of the vaccines and sera that alone can ensure their effective control.
