Abstract
This note is based on the discussion which took place at a meeting of the Members Forum on Wednesday 20th July. The meeting was attended by business leaders representing the corporate members of the Institute as well as Institute governors and staff. It also draws on a number of projects which have been carried out by the Institute and a discussion with the Editorial Board. Responsibility for the views expressed rests, nevertheless, with the author alone.
