Abstract
Fatal multiple injuries may be caused by a vehicular accident, a fall from a height or by repeated heavy blows.
In this unusual case the victim, a farmer, was found in a field away from any farm vehicles or buildings. It was only after consideration of the circumstances in which the deceased was found, the pattern of injuries and the statements of many people, including the local molecatcher, that the assailant was identified: a 16 stone Suffolk ram (Figure 1).
