Abstract
Two cases, one probable, of homosexual necrophilia are described and the discussion related to pathology, psychiatric jurisprudence and the criminal law process. It is suggested that cases such as the two described give support to the various suggestions made over the years to remove the concept of abnormal mental state defences from the criminal trial.
