Victims of death from cold are sometimes found completely or partially undressed without any signs of crime.
In connexion with a report of 2 such cases, the possible causes of the undressing of the individuals are made the subject of discussion, which is based upon the literature available. One of the hypotheses is that exposure to severe cold—paradoxically enough—may cause a feeling of warmth in the skin.
