Abstract
Nearly 20,000 cars were counted in the South Wales area in an attempt to discover if the numbers of car models of particular colours on a road could be predicted. The results agreed well with theoretical figures obtained from a Poisson distribution. A statistical analysis showed no significant difference between the figures.
