Abstract
The Linacre Quarterly—like all peer-reviewed journals—relies on the talents, interest, and commitment of its very dedicated group of reviewers. These professionals dedicate a good deal of time and effort in assisting the Editorial Team in evaluating papers, sometimes over several revisions. They also provide solid, constructive assistance to our authors; not a week goes by that we do not receive thanks from authors for the comments of reviewers that helped them improve their manuscripts.
One cornerstone of good peer review is confidentiality, both during and after the process of manuscript evaluation. Because our content is often highly specialized, naming reviewers individually might permit readers or authors to connect some individual reviewers to particular articles. For that reason, I have decided not to list individual names, but my thanks is just as sincere and the work of our reviewers just as important.
Our publisher recognizes the importance of peer reviewers as well. They cooperate with Publons in giving reviewers recognition for the reviews they complete. On Publons reviewers can track, verify, and showcase their review work while still maintaining anonymity. Reviewers also have free access to Sage publications and receive a discount on Sage books.
