This paper puts forward the point of view that lexicality is a property of language at the lexical level which is comparable with grammaticality and phonemicality at the levels of grammar and phonology. The statistical reflection of lexicality is to be found in vocabulary connectivity, which in turn may be measured by a suitable statistical technique.
