Abstract

ECLAM welcomes new Diplomates
We are happy to welcome three new Diplomates who successfully completed the examinations in 2022: Gianfranco Di Caro (Italy), Diego Celdrán Bonafonte (USA) and Chiara Zullian (Sweden). ECLAM continues to grow, thanks to the dedication of the residents and their supervisors and mentors. If you are interested in becoming a Diplomate, see our website (www.eclam.eu).
Patricia Hedenqvist elected as IACLAM President
The International Association of Colleges of Laboratory Animal Medicine (IACLAM, www.iaclam.org), comprising colleges from the USA, Japan, India and Korea as well as ECLAM, promotes the role of laboratory animal veterinarians and supports harmonisation of our speciality’s training programmes around the world. Dr Hedenqvist is currently serving a two-year term as President of this prestigious organisation, following many years leading ECLAM. We congratulate her on this new opportunity to serve laboratory animal medicine.
2023 ESLAV-ECLAM annual scientific meeting
The meeting will be in Tallinn, Estonia, in June 2023. Following the annual scientific meeting, our Summer School will also be held in Tallinn. The meeting website (https://eslav-eclam2023.publicon.ee) is up and running, so follow along for registration information!
Other events to note
Our annual Mock Examinations are normally held on the first Saturday in June as an online event. This is a great opportunity to practise your exam-taking skills and get an idea of how your studies are progressing. Watch the calendar on our website (https://eclam.eu/events/) for more information.
Registration to sit the examinations has been moved to the end of April each year. Those whose credentials to sit the examinations have been approved must send their registration by this date to sit the exams in the autumn.
