Abstract
What a pleasure it was to see each other, unpixelated, during the FELASA 2022 congress on 13–16 June held in Marseille, France!
This triennial conference keeps growing. We matched the record of over 2000 in-person participants, and we welcomed another couple of hundred attendees online. Indeed, sessions in the plenary hall, including key notes, were broadcast live. Other sessions in Les Goudes 1 lecture room and the Tech Day were recorded and made available on a platform open until December 2022 (including translations for the Tech Day).
The figures of the congress are: 1580 registrations, including 198 virtual, plus 628 exhibitors, for a total of 2208 participants coming from 55 countries. For the commercial exhibition, we welcomed 124 booths’ exhibitors, including 14 associations in the ‘Association Village’.
The scientific programme was particularly busy as you can see on https://www.felasa2022.eu/ and with the abstract book https://journals.sagepub.com/toc/lana/56/1_suppl. This year’s innovative session ‘My 3Rs in 180 seconds’ was a great success too, and we are very much looking forward to seeing this format again! The ePoster concept was also welcomed by participants who are able to scrutinise the 208 posters online, even after the congress.
