As announced already in the last issue, we again have news for you. At the beginning of 2021, two additional laboratory animal science experts joined to complete our Editors in Chief team.
We would like to welcome them and to introduce them to the readership of LaboratoryAnimals:
Annemarie Lang studied veterinary medicine. She carried out her doctoral studies at the Institute of Immunology at the Freie Universität Berlin and joined the Prof. Buttgereit group at the Department for Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin in 2012 to conduct her PhD. Her research focuses on the development of new, sophisticated, human-based in vitro models to simulate musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or fracture healing. In parallel, she is working on refinement tools to improve animal welfare in femoral fracture mouse models. Annemarie has currently joined the group of Joel Boerckel PhD at the University of Pennsylvania for a sabbatical.
J-P Mocho obtained a Doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse in France. He worked as the Named Veterinary Surgeon at the Royal Veterinary College and the Francis Crick Institute in London. Currently, he is a consultant for laboratory animal science and technology and the Honorary Secretary of the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA).
