ECLAM begins third decade in 2021

In January 2021, Stephan Zeiter will become ECLAM President, Petra Seebeck will become Vice President and Patricia Hedenqvist will become Past President. We want to thank Patrick Hardy, retiring Council member, for his contributions, and Colin Gilbert and Greg Whelan who are standing for re-election. A special thanks goes to Rony Kalman, our current Past President, who steps away after many successful years of committed leadership.

The last two years were exceptional for ECLAM. In 2019, a record number of residents passed the exam, and in 2020, the exam had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. After holding the 2020 scientific congress and AGM online, the hope lives that next year will bring ECLAM and ESLAV back together with the SGV in Switzerland. Our 20th birthday celebration, which was to be celebrated in 2020, will now be celebrated in 2021.

Council will begin working with ECLAM members on our new five-year strategic plan. ECLAM enters a new decade as a growing and successful college, working for the betterment of laboratory animal medicine and science.
