Abstract

The FELASA 14th congress is being held in the beautiful city of Prague, from 10 to 13 June 2019.
As usual there will be a comprehensive programme of seminars and workshops to cover most areas of interest and expertise. These streams include education and training, reproducibility and translation, model management, defining good care, compliance and communication, and severity classification, as well as special events.
More specifically, some sets of sessions are dedicated to “hot topics”. For example, on Monday 10th, there will be special highlights on large animals. On Tuesday 11th, you can be briefed on the latest advances on fish husbandry. Or you may consider reflecting on severe suffering in collaboration with the RSPCA. Wednesday 12th will see four sessions dedicated to animal technicians and caretakers, and another set of four sessions dedicated to animal research reporting organised in collaboration with Laboratory Animal journal. Some focus on experimental design will take place on Thursday 13th.
Not only is a FELASA congress a good way to undertake continuing professional development (CPD), it is also an ideal opportunity to discuss new ideas and views with others working within your industry, as well as an excellent chance for networking – or just meet up with old friends and acquaintances.
All information and booking details may be found on the special website www.felasa2019.eu
We look forward to seeing you there!
