Abstract
El pasado 5 de Abril tuvo lugar en Madrid, en el Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CSIC) el taller de FELASA titulado “Severity Classification and Reporting under EU Directive 2010/63/EU”. Este taller lo organizó la Dra. Belén Pintado y fue impartido por Anne-Dominique Degryse y José Ma Orellana con la colaboración de Alberto Pastor, y a él asistieron 40 personas entre las que se encontraban responsables de animalarios, investigadores, miembros de comités de ética y representantes de las autoridades en la materia tanto a nivel regional como nacional.
El worshop fue muy interactivo y en él se estudiaron varios supuestos prácticos sobre los que los grupos hicieron valoraciones de la severidad, para después hacer una puesta en común y oír la valoración dada por FELASA.
Este tipo de actividades siempre son interesantes y bien acogidas por los profesionales interesados en unificar los criterios de valoración en la medida de lo posible.
Este taller se repetirá en distintas ubicaciones de nuestra geografía para que llegue al mayor número posible de las personas interesadas. Iremos dando información de cómo se ha desarrollado en las distintas sedes.
Workshop on Severity Classification in Madrid
On April 5, 2018, a FELASA workshop was held at Madrid’s National Centre of Biotechnology (CSIC) based on the following topic ‘Severity Classification and Reporting under EU Directive 2010/63 / EU’. The workshop was organized by Dr. Belén Pintado and lectures were provided by Anne-Dominique Degryse and José Ma Orellana in collaboration with Alberto Pastor. There were 40 attendees from different disciplines: animal welfare managers, researcher groups, ethic committee members, and representatives from the authorities in this matter, at both regional and national levels.
The workshop was highly interactive, allowing the various groups to make severity evaluations on different practical cases, and bringing these together, before finally listening to FELASA’s evaluation.
These activities are always found interesting and are very well received by professionals in the industry aiming to unify (severity) assessment criteria.
These kinds of workshops will be repeated in different locations in our country in order to reach as many people as possible who may be interested in this matter. We will be providing further information on how they develop after they take place.
